Starting from Myrtle Beach SOUTH:

get on US 17, King’s Highway SOUTHBOUND...ocean always on the left. Continue south through Surfside Beach through Garden City Beach to Murrells Inlet...when you get to Murrells Inlet, you'll see Eckerd's, TGI Friday's, Lone Star, Outback...all on your right. You'll see 2 stoplights really close together. Just beyond the stoplights, about 100 yards, the highway splits...it's well marked, signs say Murrells Inlet-veer to the left...the left fork is Highway #17 Business-Waterfront.. takes you down by the waterfront. Capt Dick's is then about 1 and 3/4 miles ...ON THE LEFT...ON THE LEFT...ON THE WATER. Watch for a big building a little off the road, ON THE WATER. If starting point is Garden City or Surfside, and you are staying on the ocean, you are on Waccamaw Drive if Garden City, or Ocean Blvd if Surfside. Be sure to go SOUTH to Murrells Inlet, turn left, keep ocean on the left, when turning onto #17. Of course, from an oceanfront
location, getting to 17 is simply going away from the ocean for a few blocks.
If starting point is Garden City Beach, south of Kingfisher
and pier, then you
need to go back north (ocean on your left) to the Kingfisher, turn left onto
Atlantic Avenue, go to stop light at Bus #17, turn left onto #17 Bus...then
pick up directions above.
Some other general information:
Estimated travel time from Surfside area is approx 15 mins.
